Aspen for paneling

Aspen timber is commonly used for wall paneling of saunas, due to its low density, lack of resin and a small amount of knots. The useful properties of aspen are attributed to the high content of tannins, which not only greatly reduces the ability of wood to rot in a damp environment, but also gives it a distinctive incredible aroma. Aspen boards do not crack, they are easily handled and perform well in high humidity conditions.
